Jennifer Brooks, Giuletta Consalvo, and Michelle Hasiuk, all former employees of the restaurant known as the Hawaiian Tropic Zone, have filed a $600 million lawsuit against their former employers. The lawsuit, which targets the Tropic Zone’s owner, The Riese Company, alleges that management of the Hawaiian Tropic Zone, located in Times Square, turned a blind eye while head manager Anthony Rakis molested, harassed, battered, and even raped his employees. Rakis, age 40, eventually lost his job and is currently living in Virginia. He denies all charges that have been made against him.
Brooks, Consalvo, and Hasiuk have expressed their desire to press criminal charges in addition to their civil suit.
