The Paycheck Fairness Act has 230 co-sponsors in the U.S. House and is intended to help remedy pay discrimination women against women. Although great progress has been made, women still earn 77 cents for every dollar a man earns.
Organizations such as the Society for Human Resource Management and the National Association of Manufacturers deeply oppose the act and have sent many letters to Congressman. This is dwarfing the efforts of the proponent organizations such as the National Women’s Law Center.
